It Don't Come Easy

Hey guys, I'll try to post some stuff soon; I've been working on several things around the house. This has been the first week down here that the temps have been in the 90's and so work has been a little rough. It takes about a week or so to really acclimate to the heat when you are working outside for so many hours. We have been having to work on top of steel decking or black plastic too, in the sun, while tying rebar so that has made it especially tough. Plus, I've been in a little bit of a blue funk but it will pass.
Barry, sorry I missed you Saturday! I had forgotten to mention that I had to go to Tennessee to attend my brother's graduation. I only missed you by about 20 minutes though. Agh! Please try again around the 4th. I know I'll be here then.

*Ringo Starr. Also, a favorite song.

Yeah, man the heat and humidity takes some adjusting to! It's been in the high 80s here, but extremely humid out in the woods.

I hate those blue funks. Hope yours passes soon. :)

Ann,

We were just loafering with my daughter and son-in-law(I'm going to be a grandpa soon) and we swung by there on the way to Inland Lake.
Will be back up weekend before the 4th as well as that whole week, how about Saturday or Sunday afternoon(28th or 29th)? Let me know what is convenient, want to bring my wife by to see the place.

If you haven't been to Sandrock, Alabama to see the rock formations you need to go, only about 20 miles or so northeast of Gadsden.

I now have hot and cold running water with a shower at my place. Also put in A/C. Makes the end of a work day alot more pleasant(pan baths get old quick).

Take care, hope to see you soon.

Barry

Hey Ron! Thanks, I'm sure it will; they always pass pretty quickly.

Hey Barry! I'll check what's up and let you know about the 28-9th. I may go to Destin sometime this month but not sure when! Yes, bring your wife and brother again etc.
I have not been to Sandrock as far as I can remember which is sad since I grew up near there. Maybe I'll make a trip one weekend.
Congrats on water and shower and AC!! I know what you mean, I bathed in a horse trough for a long time but that was not so bad at times!
Look forward to seeing ya'll!

Hi,

I saw your blog and I think it's really great that you are living an eco-friendly lifestyle. You mention organic products in a lot of your posts, and so I thought you might be interested in some information about organic farming and living.

The Rodale Institute(www.rodaleinstitute.org), a leader in organic living
and thinking, is reaching out to community members to provide them with research and information.

Please go to hero-farmers.org or e-mail me back at kshah@gold-group.com if you want more info!
