Tired Feet

Well, I had intended on posting a bit more but I guess I haven't entirely gotten used to this amount of construction work yet.  Ten hours a day, everyday, is a little wearying.  And, I guess, the abrupt and total change in lifestyle has been mentally tiring.  I believe this is about as opposite as the way I was living as you can get.  I'm having to stay in a small, cramped, heavily occupied, cheap hotel.  It's right next to the interstate; mostly asphalt around here.  The peace and tranquility of my valley is a long way away.  I'm doing the best I can I guess but it gets me down.
I do enjoy working with my fellas though.  That's the one bright spot but I don't see a lot of them for most of the day actually.  Welders tend to work alone most of the time except when prep work is being done.  Well, didn't mean to write a downer post but I'm very tired and I want to go home.  We will get off at 2:30 tomorrow however and I'll be blazing a trail to my house shortly thereafter.  I'll try to have a better post from home.

Annie there are not many people who could do what you do. It is no wonder you are tired. When you get home you will rest really rest. And all will seem right with the world.

Always nice to read a post, and they don't all have to be "chipper."

I'm glad for you that tomorrow is Friday, and by this time then you should be snug as a bug in its own rug :)

Yeah, I remember a tough job I had like that. It was the worst day of my life.
I've stayed in a few of those flea bags with empty swimming pools. The strip mall next to it had a food court that was a lawn chair and an open box of crackers. PS I'm drinking out of my cup.

We all have our down periods and if writing it down helps go right ahead and vent. It's your blog and you have the right to post anything you want. I come from a long line of veterans, some of whom have fought and bled (myself included)and others lost their lives defending your right to free speech so have at it!

Annie, I think that most of us reading your posts know you are being straight and sharing your thoughts, feelings, views, etc. Of course, you are beat after a workday you described and being away from your home, gardens, chicks, dog, and Jack is lonely. Drive safely get there quickly, and get some R&R.

What you need is a good back rub and a dose of "porch sitting!"

Spend some time watching the chickens run and the grass grow!

Just take care of yourself!
