Has everyone out there been overtaken with SAD and is now curled up in a ball in a semi-hibernating state until they feel the sun shining on them again? From what I see, most everybody, everywhere is really sick of this winter and anxiously awaiting the return of warmth to our side of the planet. I know I am.
Am I boring you to tears with my recent posts? Oh, wait, ya'll said I wasn't boring.
Have I been ugly and ya'll don't want to talk to me anymore? I know I've been kicked off one blogroll already.
What's going on? I hope ya'll haven't frozen. Things going okay? Everybody got their seeds started? I need to get mine going this weekend.

I hate to break it to you, but your comment section is actually above average in terms of reader participation.
There are a lot of blogs out of there that I am pretty sure get more traffic then you but have a lot less comments.
Back when I was actually putting serious work into my various websites, I had more people reading my stuff then I ever dreamed possible. At my peek, I had thousands of hits a day. A high percentage of these people would spend north of 20 minutes reading my stuff (kind of necessary given my verbosity). Yet I received less comments on my most popular posts then you usually get on your average post (admittedly, a lot of the discussion of my stuff took place on other websites).
All I am trying to say is that comments are not the best indicator of readership or even readership satisfaction.
And yes, I am also suffering from SAD.
I'm here. I'm reading. I'm enjoying. :) I just never comment...anywhere. There! Are you satisfied? you've drug me out of my hole. :P)
Hey Chieftain! good to hear from you man! above average? you really think?
well, I just feel I should try to engage my readers in discussion a little more rather than just sit here and pontificate, like my opinion is the end all, you know? I do know that returning visits are a better indication of enjoyment and I have a fair number of those.
I hate to hear you really do suffer from SAD. I wasn't trying to make light of that. And you live up north too I think. Hopefully spring will be upon us all soon!
Hey Gin! Aha! yes! i'm satisfied! lol! good to hear from you.
SAD...no. You have to thaw out for that. I just take each day one at a time and don't worry about what tomorrow brings. Spring, summer and fall will all get here when the time is right.
Kicked off a blogroll? Harsh.
Raining here today. And 'cold' for the low desert.
Need to start futzing around my house, deciding what to get done today, but I'm here instead.
Cheers!
I'd never kick a pretty little thing like you off my blog roll! I keep ya around 'cause you make the place look good, ya know?
Glad you are going to get your seeds started soon!
Sometimes when catching up with my blog reading I am too tired to do anything but just read....doesn't mean I don't enjoy everyones posts. Yours usually leave me with a smile on my face lol
I visit every day. I think I'm in a commenting doldrum though. I hardly leave my half formed thoughts on anyone's blog lately.
I think I am in the same rut as Pablo!
really tired of this weird weather.
went to sleep last night and buried under covers and then this afternoon it was 91 degrees out.
At least it was sunny though.
I'm here for every post. Some posts are easier to comment on than others, plus if I'm on my lunch break, I barely have time to read it, much less comment.
Definitely not boring tho!
My seed starts are grape tomatoes and datil peppers.
I've been reading regularly and just don't often have time to comment these days.
Hey there! We've been on a Stay-cation, and the computer lost out on popularity (with us) while we had some valuable time doing whatever we felt like getting out of the house and discovering while not having to be at work, WOO!!! :) :) Always love your blog, Annie :)
I am trying to imagine what on earth you could have done to get kicked out of somewhere. I don't want to know, it just amuses me.
I live in a apt so no seed starting for me. I have however been thinking about starting Oxalis bulbs to have as house plants. In my dream world I have a whole collection of the genus Oxalis growing in the west windows.
we'll be seed starting in earnest very soon. the moment this next cold spell is over we'll attempt to control the heat in our little greenhouse for germination.
i pine for spring. each year feb seems to get longer and longer. as we get more in tune with the seasons they seem to affect us more.
this period of anxious waiting recharges me for the busy time ahead.
Hey Richard! I just would not be able to function up there where ya'll are. Don't know how ya'll do it!
Hey Jenn! well, maybe it'll warm up for ya soon.
Hey Jim! thanks! I appreciate that!
Hey Molly! I hope so!
Hey Pablo! yeah, i think a lot of us are in the doldrums!
Hey Mya! 91! dang!
Hey FC! yeah, I know everybody is so busy! don't worry about not having time to leave a comment. I know ya'll are reading.
Hey IR! yeah, i know how that is.
Hey Robbyn! thanks!
Hey erin! oh, I love oxalis too!
Hey karl! i think you are right about Feb. getting longer! i am SO ready for spring!
I'm hibernating until March.
We're late starting our seeds this year. It has just been too cold to even want to think about it. I've got to clear out the cold frame, find the trays and the leftover seeds from last year, and clear out the garden area (which involves relocating a canoe). This must all be preceded by motivation, which seems to be the biggest problem right now.
Kicked off a blogroll, eh? You are so badass.
Hey Ed! sounds like a good idea!
Hey Meg! me badass? ha!!
I'm lacking a little motivation in some areas too.
