Dead Beat Club

Well, I kinda hate the direction the blog has gone in.  I know it's boring and crappy but I just don't have a lot of time to do many projects around the house so any kind of how-to posts are on the back burner.  I do plan to plant a garden for fall but that's probably going to be sporadic.  I know many of you are not terribly interested in commercial construction, so I'm trying to limit the number of posts on that subject.  So, I'm not sure what to write about and my Internet connection here is still unreliable so when I do feel like writing I sometimes can't get on.
So..........anybody have any ideas or suggestions?  I am still reading your blogs when I have time and trying to leave a few comments.  Work has become infinitely easier lately so it's not near as rough as when I first came down.  I guess I've gotten used to the workload again and welding is easier on me than the other work I was doing.  So, tell me what you think if you have any ideas.  I don't know.  I'm kinda bummed.  It's lonely working out of town and boring when you're not at work.

Surprisingly, there are some of us who like reading about your job, my husband is an architect. It is always interesting to me to read about where things go after he designs them.

I've enjoyed your job-related posts, actually. They're a peek into another world I know very little about.

Ditto the enjoyment of reading about your job.

Personally I think you should just forget about writing about only a couple topics because they limit you. I just write about anything that happens to be on my mind when I'm in the mood to write. I would hate to box myself into only writing about a couple subjects.

I just come over to enjoy the company! Always find an interesting post and enjoyable folks here!

If I were you, just follow your instincts...and if you get an idea, throw it at us!

I don't have a blog and don't comment that much here, but I have always thought that this blog was about YOU.

If you joined a convent or got sent to a maximum security prison, I would think you would be writing about whatever was happening in your life at the time that you wanted to share.

I come here to read about commercial construction and house building. The other things don't hurt. But there are thousands of people out there talking about "other things." Not many commercial construction workers writing about their jobs.

I have always enjoyed reading your posts...no matter what they were about. You always have something cool to share or write about, whether its home or work. I know I have been inspired about some of your projects. I like reading about what other homesteaders are doing. Take care. ~Jen

Count me in with the others who posted that write about anything you want on the blog, whether work, home, gardening. It's up to you to just be yourself, as you have been doing.

I enjoy all your postings and find them an interesting mix from around home and at work. I have no suggestions other than to post when you feel you have something to share and do not give into feelings you owe you readers some kind of regular posting. That just gnerates guilt and resentment.

Hey People! thanks for all the comments and emails! I appreciate your feedback. I would have answered sooner but my connection has been very bad this week. So, OK, more of you enjoy the work posts than what I thought! I'll continue to just write about whatever. I just had a down week kinda. Missing home.
