Upon Still Waters

This is a very large, very nice lake that is only about 6-8 miles from my house. I'm embarrassed to say that I rarely go down there but I usually don't have anyone to go with me. And I'm usually working too much to have time but I took Mouse by there yesterday while we were just out cruising around.
Most of the fall color has faded but it's still very pretty. I need to get my fishing license and visit here more often.
Did I say that I've got to go back to work this week? Darn it! But, I'll make a little more money to buy some more siding with anyway.

there is a huge lake near us that I rarely go to unless visitors are getting the tour---what is it? right at our door and sooooooooooo far away---no fun to go alone---I have yet to get on the river and have lived here 5 years now, mate not interested and no canoe yet---guess it will take a visitor to knock me into the river unless I muster the oomph to do it myself, where is that little red hen when I am looking for her?
by the way, I loved the humorous bit you did on evaluating men---spot on! and Mouse looks like he has a good strong back, too.
am so impressed and inspired by your construction, the house is great! and hope you have a nice, rakish scar from the plumbing excitement.

It is discovering a small lake like that that I am moved to slip my canoe in and go for a quiet paddle around it.

There are always little treasures of nature to see and hear to enhance the occasion.

Hey, speaking of work...

I can't remember if I told you for sure or not, but the church does want you to do their stained glass window repair when you can.

Hey Erin! thanks! glad you enjoyed them.

Hey Page! yeah, i don't know why we rarely go down to the lake but it is not much fun by yourself.
thanks and yes, Mouse's back is quite strong; have to get a close up.
i do have a slight scar on my lip! don't know if i'd classify it as rakish but i'll have to come up with some really good, outlandish story about how i got it.

Hey Philip! yea, i would like to cruise around this lake in a small boat.

heyLinda! no, you didn't say but okay! just have to get time.

Hey Jim! yeah! and i hear it's some real good fishing on that lake too. very clean water.
