How Bizarre

I can't believe we have had yet another measurable snowfall. I can't remember the last time it snowed this many times in one winter. I am in such a sorry funk. Blek! I have got to get out of it. They are predicting highs in the 60's this weekend. I so hope they are right. I've got to get out of this freefall.

Annie,

Just remember, spring is officially only weeks away. Those 90 plus summer days will have you longing for the good ole wintertime!

Not long ago I took my family around to some of the homes my sister lived in up there when she got married at 14(still together after 40 years or so). I believe it was house #4 or 5 that finally had running water INSIDE the house. They used a spring or well and yon privy. Back then people didn't DEMAND so much from a residence and you could make do. Now I'm not saying rough it that much, but it makes you pause and consider if it is really worth a 30year mortgage and the stress it cuases for alot of bells and whistles? Make do with less and enjoy it more?

Guess we'll never know.

Take care,

Barry

Another perspective,
here, snow like that would be cause for wild celebration.

Hope your parachute opens soon.

ER, have you thought about doing some voluntary work? You would be amazed at the difference concentrating on others can make to mood.

Hey Jim! I hope so too! I think we will this weekend.

Hey Barry! No, I don't care how hot it gets, I NEVER long for winter! lol! never! I love the heat! I bask in it!
You know what tho Barry? I don't feel that having less is 'making do' and that is what is wrong with a lot of society now. they think if you don't have 300 channels on TV you're deprived! I think I'm lucky!

Hey FC! well, normally it is here too but even we are getting a little tired of it.
thanks!

Hey Molly! yes, I have looked into volunteering but the organizations I contacted never contacted back and then I got sidetracked. Now we are about to go on overtime and there will be no extra time for sure. We will be working 5- 10 hour days and 8 hours on Sat. so it'll be all I can do to keep my place up.

It's those earthquakes moving everything around...I looked at google earth and Alabama is definitely north of Minnesota now.

I wondered if you got snow! M. and S. both got it too, but we didn't. Just rain here. :(
