If Capt Jack is a student of wood chopping I invite him to come for a visit. I have 20 or 30 cords to split in the next month or so. I am several months behind.
I try to avoid powered wood splitters preferring "the zen of wood splitting with a maul"
Hey Beatrice! he has split a little for me but a good bit of that he is taking to my Mom, who lives next door to him.
Hey Lisa! ha! maybe, not sure about that at this point.
Hey Philip! lol! I told him of your offer but I don't think it wentover well! lol! Jack is new to splitting wood so he is still in that, "hey, this is kinda fun" mode. If he makes it through a couple of cords I'll be anxious to see if he still feels the same.
We've been cuting up a couple of really big oak trees and clearing brush. I see nothing "fun" about it! I remember using a cross cut saw when I was a teen. Sure didn't like that!LOL
Hey Loretta! I'm with you! I don't think of it as fun either but you know how men are! lol! Anytime they get to use an axe or knife or gun they think that is great. lol!

A good sense of humor and the ability to communicate.... hard to beat that combination!

Funny and articulate beats size in my book.
Hey Anon-R! so true!
Hey IR! lol! fortunately, Capt. Jack has all 3!
Liked the humor or Capt Jack, Annie, and wonderred if the chopped wood will be the winter's heat supply.
I'm thinking maybe Capt Jack is going to be the winter heat supply.
